Lip tie enough to get checked and maybe clipped?

My 17 week old is super gassy like sooo bad and always sucks in air feeding. Is this the reason? She had a shallow latch breastfeeding

I’ve read lip ties are rarely the cause of this and hers doesn’t look to bad to me. I’d talk to a lactation consultant or a paediatric dentist.

Does the lip flange out when baby is latched?

It looks like the lip still has flexibility. You could have baby checked, but I’m not sure they’d clip that.

My baby’s tie is much worse and it didn’t need to be corrected. As long as it doesn’t affect their ability to move their lips or form their lips for certain words it shouldn’t need to be clipped.
