When will you get your daughters ears pierced?

...* cont.: they choose to pierce their ears themselves or ask for their ears pierced.
I went to my daughters 2 month appointment with hopes to get her ears pierced but the lady that performed them said they looked too petite just yet. (The earliest they perform ear piercing is 2 months) I don’t want my daughter to remember it so I want it done within her first year.

I’ll say working in an elementary school most of the girls had them done prior to elementary school, and the ones who didn’t ended up playing with them all day at school and a few little girls got only one pierced because they didn’t want the pain of the second! Don’t be afraid to get them whenever you want because no matter what there’s going to be judgy women who know everything about anything and think their opinions are the only right option. I had mine pierced at 3 months on the dot and I turned out with zero infections, no need to have them redone, my mom took proper care of my ears, didn’t end up with a keloid or any other issues that could have occurred at absolutely ANY age regardless! Do you momma! Ps I’m not being bitchy about other commenters, but I see this is a universal topic of shaming moms who do what they want with there babies!

My babys pediatrician said shes allowed to get her ears pierced after her first set of shots at two months. We took her to get them pierced on the 25th

Probably when she’s like 5+ years old. Not a fan of baby piercing and Not sure why you would do that to a baby. Plus just one more thing to deal with. My girl writhes her head all over her mattress, car seat, me, etc. She could easily get them snagged and potentially tear them out. Babies who get them done often need to get them redone when they are bigger because of how their lobe grows and the pierce isn’t centered on the lobe anymore.

I always said if I had a daughter I’d get them pierced when she was a baby... until I had a daughter. Mine were pierced when I was a baby but I just don’t want to do it until she’s old enough to say she wants them done and can take care of them herself.

Please find a reputable piercer and get them done properly if you truly insist on getting them pierced. Do not let someone pierce your baby using a crappy plastic gun with lack or proper training and sterilization.

We had our first baby’s ears pierced at 4 months, but our second is much smaller so I think we may have to wait until she’s bigger

My family has severe allergies to tons of metals and alloys. As a baby I had tons of ear infections and keloids in my pierced ears so I waited for my first LO to request it, which was kindergarten. She requires 18k gold plated brass earrings which cost a ton. Ill wait for my newest little to ask for it as well.
