Where does everyone get their baby’s ears pierced at? My baby’s pediatrician doesn’t do it.

Go to an actual tattoo and piercing shop. All of their needles are sterile. If you go to Claire’s, Walmart, anywhere like that they use the piercing guns and they cannot be sterilized. The guns also make a loud pop that tends to scare the kids. Plus actual trained and certified piercers are more accurate.

My MIL’s friend is a certified piercer and he did my baby girl’s ears when she was 4 weeks old. It was so much easier to get it done while she was so Young! She didn’t cry at all!

I’m not piercing my daughter’s ears, but you should go to a reputable tattoo shop. The ear is clamped and pierced with a hollow needle, so it basically stamps out a hole. When you go to Claire’s or Walmart and use a piercing gun a blunt earring is forced through the skin, shattering the cartilage. It is more painful with the gun and more difficult to heal. Also, guns are plastic and CANNOT be sterilized, only sanitized, which doesn’t effectively kill blood borne pathogens.

I just took my girl to the mall and had it done there at piercing pagoda. they require the baby to be 2 months old.

Claire's, they'll do them around 2months, once baby gets their TDAP shot. A tattoo shop is recommended if they'll do them, but I live in a small town and the options were limited so Claires it was.😂 Her's are doing great though. Claires did mine at 3months old almost 21years ago and I never had issues with mine lol

The place we take our older daughter to get her hair cut is licensed in ear piercings and they do it as early as 4mo so we got hers done there and plan to get our new baby girls ears done there too
