Positive Induction

Kristen

Just wanted to share my quick story for any nervous moms to be, like I was:

This is my third baby but my first time being induced. My last baby came too fast and we almost had her at home, hence the induction at 39 weeks. I was so nervous to be induced for the first time after hearing so many horror stories!

Went in at 9:30 pm. They started with pitocin right away since I was already 3 cm dilated and 60 percent effaced. Over the course of 10 hours they upped my pitocin slowly every half an hour or so. Got an epidural which slowed things down just a little, but got some sleep and was able to relax. At 7:30 am it was time to push and she came 15 minutes later. It was by far the most stress free and easiest labor I have had of the three!

Long story short, sometimes you have to trust that an induction may just be the right choice for you and baby! Good luck mommas!
