The crib was the most expensive thing obviously. Max I think it was $500? But we got that as a gift 
Mattress we got from our baby shower, it was $170
 All the books, small decor pieces, stuffed animals came from baby shower!
We bought:
Curtains/little rug/name sign-$150
Paint-$100
Dressers-free second hand(pains $20 for gold foil) and my sister in law and i refurbished them
Little shelf: free
New light: $75

The swing was gifted to us for our first baby so that was reused and our closet in this room has shelving and such so we didn’t need a dresser

I’m not completely done as I’m only 17 weeks, BUT I do have all of my main stuff. 
I bought my crib and dresser used and painted the dresser/change handles. 
Used convertible crib: $60
New mattress: $50
Recliner/rocking chair: $350
Dresser: $30

I also painted a book shelf I already had.

With my first maybe just over $1000 because we had to buy the crib, mattress, dresser, and a rocking chair. This time about $600 because we are reusing the crib and chair, but buying a dresser and a new double stroller plus some things we wished we had with our daughter

With my first everything I had was a hand-me-down or gifted, and he slept in a pack n play until we moved to a 2 bedroom apt when he was about 6 months old. Then I spent maybe $400 total on a crib/furniture set, mattress, and bedding. 
For this new bundle of joy, I’m 8 years older much more financially secure and have been able to pretty much do what I want within reason. Crib and changing table were gifts from in-laws, and then with everything else I’d say we’ve spent $1500, including all necessities, organizing, and decorating items.

Super cheap. All our stuff we got at this recycle store and the rest was donated to us. There are always ways to make things cheaper. I don't think I'd ever spend thousands on my nursery lol.

We completely gutted the room, so new drywall, paint, changed the closet to bifold doors, new fan/light fixture and carpet. That was the pricey part. I'd wager to guess $2,000 with all renovations and furniture.

Less than 500$ got a pack n play from Burlington coat factory for 66$ , a manual pump (already had an electric from my first), diapers , wipes and clothes. And that was it. We made her room as she grew. So she has her little foot artwork around the room as butterflies, birds, fish, etc. hand her hand prints and pics and stuff.
