I'm in quite a difficult situation. I got myself and my son (9 months old) away from his abusive father. We finally got out. I tried going to the shelters in my county as well as all the neighboring counties. They are all full. I have no family around here and my exes family are all drug addicts and alcoholics. I will not take my son there. My only support system is my bestfriend. She herself is married with 3 children. One of them is immunocompromised. She is also antivax. I am not. She offered her home to my son and I until we get back on our feet. I have no other options. No one else.

My sons 9 month appointment is coming up. He should be getting his vaccines. She told me they are not allowed in her home because of her son. There are no live vaccines on the 9 month schedule. No chance of shedding. I also explained her her that its safer for her son for the people around him to be vaccinated. She won't budge.

So this is my predicament...my son and I cannot be homeless. But I do not want him unvaccinated.

What do I do?
