Is it normal for the nexaplanon birth control to be effecting my period in such a way? I know it tends to mess with the menstrual cycle. But I’ve been on it for about 7 months now and my periods typically last a week then after one week off of it I’m on it again for a week and the cycle continues. Or I’m on my period for a few weeks! Does this go away? I really don’t want to switch birth controls because my boyfriend and I want to have sex without a condom and I’m worried about pregnancy. But period sex isn’t exactly the most fun. Help!
