Anyone else over 35 and TTC for the first time?

We have been trying for 4 months. Always with a hope it’s going to happen. Each time my cycle comes, I get sad. Looking for ways to cope.

Been trying for almost 3 years. Had one chemical pregnancy In October. Just got another positive today. (hoping it sticks!!). I’m 37. This would be my first, husbands 2nd.

Started trying a month after turning 35 last March. Got pregnant immediately then miscarried at 6 weeks. Been trying again since last June with no luck. I ovulate, my partners sperm counts are awesome and I have a regular cycle...just gotta learn patience... 36 is fast approaching tho!

Yes - we started when I was 36. Fell pregnant within 3 months, miscarried at 10 weeks. Fell pregnant 6 weeks after the loss and had a chemical pregnancy. It’s 9 weeks later now and 9 months down in total. Just saw a fertility specialist and I’m 37 now. Good luck to you.

I got married and started trying at age 37. It took us just over 6 months to get our BFP, and at times the wait felt excruciating, but I’m now 9w1d pregnant at age 38, and according to my 8-week ultrasound, everything looks great. I don’t have a lot of natural patience, but TTC bred some into me. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that some things just take time, especially for us “older” moms. (We did get fertility tests done, including an HSG for me, but everything came up normal, so for us it was just a matter of waiting until the right sperm met the right egg.)

I’m 35. I got pregnant last year at 34 for the first time but it turned out an ectopic pregnancy. It was devastating and extremely traumatic. I lost my left tube and so here I am now 35 with only one tube left but with a bit of hope this time it will be my rainbow

Anything under a year is considered normal, but it's suggested you go by the 6 month mark if you're 35+. Give it two more months and then visit your doctor. Hope it happens for you soon, I remember how stressful TTC was xx

Are there any male factor issues? I’m 38 ttc my first and started at 37. We found out last year that my husband has 2% morphology. It might be worth finding out at the 6th month mark of trying. If there are no issues, it should not be a problem. Good luck
