How long did it take everyone else to fully recover from an episiotomy?

I had a second degree tear and it took about two and a half weeks to feel better. Only 5 weeks postpartum haven't even thought about trying sex yet LOL

I started feeling pretty good yesterday morning (I’m almost 3 weeks pp) and then something happened, I have no clue what, if I tore my stitches (I was told they were supposed to disintegrate in 1-2 weeks) or if the stitches are gone but the area was still not completely healed so it tore again, but Omgosh I’m in more pain there now that I ever was even while I was still in the hospital. So Idk I may have been just a little tender if I hadn’t done this.My vaginal bleeding slowed so I got smaller pads and it went up and gave me a wedgie and I was feeding the baby so I just waited until I was done to fix it and after that I was in sooo much pain. I have an appointment tomorrow so I guess I’ll find out what’s going on then.

About 2mos, but I only had a tiny tear. I feel 100% fine, even during sex, now. I'm 5mos post partum.

Probably around 12 weeks for me with an extended episiotomy. Use plenty of lube when you do feel ready to have sex

I’m 8 weeks but it’s still painful. Can’t even have sex because of it 🙄

I believe I was recovered by three weeks or so this time, second baby, but not sure exactly because I just left everything alone til cleared at my six week appt. I found a sitz bath helped a lot.

Just had my 6 week PP with my OB. I'm completely healed but still feel sore. My doctor said that its completely normal but I'm good to go. I'm not so sure.
