My husband is so easy going sometimes he doesnt see how this is bugging me! My in laws employ both myself and my husband. Plus go to the same church, and live 4 miles down the road. They are generally pretty good about giving us space, but they hover without even trying since we are around them so much.

Since our son was born on jan 1, they act so weird, especially his mom. She acts like they need to have all separate baby things and setup, like he will be living with them! She also interjects any discussion of any event with "we'll babysit!!" Even if its something we would just take him with to. I finally snapped and said "he's not a dog we need to board..."

They even tell us that they would be happy to take him for the weekend and got us a voucher for a show in a town 2 hours away and told us to get a hotel and they'd just take him for the weekend..when he is 3 weeks old!!!

Now they are telling me that I should go with my husband on a business trip in March for 4 days...

I just cant understand how on God's green earth they think I would leave my totally breastfed 8 week old and go to Vegas for 4 days.

My husband doesnt fully see the problem with that I dont think and its driving me nuts!

I feel like I have a split custody divorce type setup with my in laws, or at least they would like it to be like that!
