Light at the end of the tunnel
I gave birth to my sweet girl at 34 weeks gestation. It was terrifying, as my son was a plump full term baby and here I was having a preemie that seemed so fragile. To make matters worse, I had her while we were suppose to be on vacation, out of state. We got not even 12 hours into our "vacation" and I began bleeding and passing clots. I was terrified and unfamiliar with the area so I had to google the nearest hospital to go to. When I arrived they did my intake, took my vitals and tried calming me down and reassuring me. But to make matters worse, I had severe preeclampsia and my blood pressure was 234/139 and after 4 iv doses of medication it wasnt coming down. They sent me to a hospital with a NICU via ambulance. There they begin attempting an induction, it was going well until they tried inserting a fully balloon. It causes immediate hemorrhage and I was rushed back for a csection. At 34 weeks on December 11th, 2019, my baby girl was born. She wasnt crying so I was terrified but I was reassured she was breathing, she was just a quiet one. She was hooked up to all the machines, IV, CPAP, ect. After 12 long, hard days away from home, out of state, away from family and help and with not even a onsie or diaper with us, we were discharged. I'll never forget the experience and I will definitely share it with her when shes older! Lol but here we are, home, 7 weeks later with a healthy baby girl who people say you can't even tell she was born early. Plump and beautiful! For anyone with a preemie still in NICU, anticipating a preemie or in labor preterm. These babies are beautiful fighters and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay strong 🥰❤
