Glucose test water??

I’m taking my glucose test tomorrow morning. I know I can’t eat after midnight, but can I drink water in the morning??
My appointment isn’t until 8am and I wake up at 6 usually so idk how I would go 2 hours without water

Everyone needs to stop giving the advice of eating before the test. Not everyone is allowed to do that. It’s dependent on your doctor and the test.

I just did my glucose test today and I had to fast too. I was told that I couldn't have water till after the test so I just made sure I ate and drank a bunch up until midnight to sustain me till after the test.

For my 1 hour test they let me eat as normal but I had to have a scheduled appointment. For my 3 hour test I had to fast but I could just go in whenever so I went in as soon as they opened that Monday morning and took the test so I wouldn’t be parched or starving.

Yes, if you're fasting you can still have water!! The more you drink the easier it will be to draw blood as well.

Ask your doctor. Every test is different. Mine is no eating 2 hours before and only sips of water during those 2 hours

I did mine last week. I ate eggs and passed with flying colors. Eat something small because the drink has so much sugar it can make you nauseated on an empty stomach.

You can drink water and you don’t have to do the glucola- you can eat jelly beans instead. I refuse the drink because of its ingredients and buy certain organic jellybeans

If it’s the one hour test you’re allowed to drink and eat. Just stay away from soda and foods like pancakes with syrup. My op said to eat a healthy breakfast and drink water
