Shouldn’t my doctor be inducing me?? Help

What is considered low amniotic fluid? Asking because I went to appointment today and they sent me to L&D after a concerning ultra sound at OB.. have to go back this Saturday for NST baby is also all the sudden measuring 34 weeks when I’m almost 37 I’ve been complaining to them of lack of movement also. Because my NST are normal and he moves during them they just send me home. I’m worried my placenta is giving up or something I’ve also been extremely anemic this pregnancy and feel like my iron pills aren’t working bc I still crave ice every single day and have to have it. Also my levels were 5 and went up to 9.8 amniotic fluid.

Normal is between 8-20 cm. If you are at 5-9 that means you are borderline. Usually less than 5 means oligohydramnios(low fluid).

I was told I would need to be induced due to low amniotic fluid at 37 weeks. I can’t tell you what number I was at but I don’t think my baby was ready to come out, eventually she was born via emergency c section 4 days later

Are you saying Fluid is at 5% your saying ? I have been doing nst for past three weeks and getting fluid measured because I had to much but after a few weeks I’m back on track yesterday they said my sound was at 17% and that’s perfect I’m currently 36 weeks 3days

AFI values from 34 to 40 weeks; mean, standard deviation, and percentile values (all in centimeters).

Don’t be afraid to keep asking questions, ask for more tests, ask for a second opinion. Keep pushing until you are satisfied with the response. (Wether that’s a plan to induce or an explanation that makes you comfortable with waiting). 
I was induced with my first for low fluid, but I honestly don’t remember why the measurement was, just that it was borderline low. I had an ultrasound at 39 weeks when they discovered this.  That was a Thursday and I was sent home to rest, drink lots of water, and come back Monday for a follow-up ultrasound. On the Monday it was a bit lower, though still borderline - not dangerously low, but since I was only a few days from my due date they decided to induce. 
I imagine with you being full term yet they have to weigh all the pros and cons and determine which option is safest for baby. But definitely keep asking questions until you are fully satisfied with the answers and course of action.
