6 day old newborn struggles to breastfeed so have been using nipple shields which has been working. However he falls asleep on the breast all the time, when hes stopped and I look the shield is full of milk, so i have to wake him up by winding/changing etc and he searches for food again! He does lots of big wees but hasnt pooped in 30 hours so im just super worried he isnt getting enough as ive googled and it says nipple shields can affect milk supply and also the fact he falls asleep whilst feeding? Is this normal? Does anyone elses little one do this? Ive tried to pump and give him the bottle, he guzzles it and is always a lil sick!
