Period one week after ovulation??

Hey guys! So I’m super confused. PCOS here. Have been TTC for 2 years now. Have been taking Metformin 500mg 3X daily since August, and also take Clomid when prescribed. I had a visit with my OB on January 23rd to monitor follicles and to see when I will be ovulating. OB said I had 2 really good follicles and should ovulate within the next 3 days. So my predicted ovulation this month was the 23-26, so I’m currently 5-7 DPO. For the past couple of days, I have been spotting brown and now AF just arrived. 😭😭 I’m so confused. Is it normal to get AF not even a week after ovulating?? Please help!!

Some people do have naturally 21 day cycle but they then ovulate at day 10 or 11. Anything less than 11 days after determined ovulation is not good news. 7 days is critically low for lutheal phase. Even strongest fastest embryos implant day 7 or 8 post ovulation. Weaker ones can be as late as day 11. Once they implant takes them 3 days to make the pregnancy hormone to tell the body to not start shedding the lining. So if it implanted day 7 too early for hormone to be present and you are already shedding lining of uterus so embryo dies as it is shed with surrounding uterine lining. Are you sure you ovulated? If you did not progesteron levels are too low so period comes faster. Or if progesteron levels have fallen fast period comes faster. Call your doctor/fertility specialist and tell her that you had 7 days or less lutheal phase and she needs to check if you ovulated and check more periodically progesteron levels day 21. Are you sure you did not have chemical pregnancy? I spotted on day 13 and then went on to miscarry. You might have been pregnant for day or 2 and then the body decided it was not viable but this is speculation until not proven with beta testing.
