Diva cup or “menstrual cups”

Ok so I got a diva cup a few years ago and have always been too scared to try it. Well I’m towards the end of my period and I’m going to be home today so I figured why not now, plus this is when I can stop bleeding for a day and then the next get something. So if I did it correctly then I’ll use it tomorrow while I’m out. I’m terrified though. I just put it in, no idea if it’s up far enough.

When taking it out ..... I just pull it out?

I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about them. 🤞🏼 also should it be cleaned with soap?
