Mat leave question for Canadian moms...

This will be my first baby, I currently work full-time and will be going on mat leave a couple of weeks before my due date. I’m 31 and tried for almost a year for this baby (after two miscarriages) so we’d like to start trying again pretty soon after I give birth in case it takes a long time again. I’m thinking we would start to try about 6-7 months postpartum. SO my question is.... if I did happen to get pregnant right away... that would mean I’d only be back to work (after a year of maternity leave) for 3 or 4 months or so before going on mat leave again. So how does that work with mat leave pay through the government? Would I still get mat leave pay for the entire second year even though I only came back to work for a few months? (I’ve worked full-time since I graduated University). Thanks for the help!
