Can't do the maths, what % am I?

Guys sorry my brain just is not working out.
If my grandmother is half Portugese and half Irish, what % Irish and Portuguese would that make me? My brain wants to say 1/4 but I'm not too sure I'm right.

I took an ancestry test and was surprised to find out that our genes do not split evenly. You could be a different percent of each, for example 40% Portuguese and 10% Irish mixed with whatever your other side of the family is. It depends and you can not really know until you’re tested.

If your grand mother is 50%/50% that means your parent is 25%/25% and then the other 50% is what your grandfather is. You would be about 12%/12% if that makes sense. Essentially you are 25% of what ever your grandmother is.

You would need a DNA test to know for sure. My siblings and I are from the same two parents but our percentages are completely different.
