I would say it’s uneven, the 2nd season was better than the 1st (haven’t watched the 3rd or 4th yet) I like some characters better than others & some plot lines better than others, I have watched a lot of supernatural tv shows (Buffy The Vampire Slayer was my favorite) & I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being “it’s boring & I don’t care about any of the characters” & 10 being “it’s amazing I belong to the fan club for it” I would put The Magicians at a 5

My husband and I liked it. Although I will say I totally hated on a few characters. Ha ha! Margo is my fav though!

I found that show to be very slow and dull even after 3-4 episodes. Gave up and didn’t regret it.
