My husband had asked me to text his mom about our vacation plans and when I opened the texting app I saw a conversation between him and a female friend I never heard of. She told him that she was going through her depression bout and felt useless in the world. He reassured her that she was not and gave her a few compliments. The way he talked to her made me emotional. I was proud of how he offered his insight and how he views her (respectfully) and grew to love him more. I don’t think many guys know how to walk the line of respectful reassurance to the opposite sex.
