Boating?

Anyone on here boaters in the summer? What’s your thoughts about bringing baby on the boat? When would you take them out?

My baby brain read bloating and bloaters. I was thinking I’ve never noticed it to be a seasonal issue? 🤦🏻‍♀️ But on the topic we live on the river and do mostly kayaking. I don’t think I’ll get much time on the water but I’ve got the gear to keep him out of the sun and away from mosquitoes so I can get some time on the banks at least.

You can always look up boating laws and regulations for your area. They might have information on babies on boats.

I boated with my last daughter at about 6 months.  She loved it, and it would put her to sleep.  I'm not sure if I'll bring this newborn on or not, might just get a babysitter and wait until next summer.  I would want a life jacket for her, and they don't fit a newborn.

Yup! As long as baby has a life jacket I think its perfectly fine. My husband has been on the water since he was a month old.

We are boaters and I'm wondering the same thing. We took our daughter out her first summer but she was a january baby so she was already 6 months. The movement and the sound put her right to sleep so she was pleasant to have with us. But the baby life vest seems a little big and awkward for a newborn so I think we will wait until august to have the baby with us.
