When do genetics come into play with labor?

So my mom was 2 weeks to 3 days late with all 5 of her kids.
My sisters were about 3-4 days late with each of their kids.
Do you think genetics play any role in when baby comes? Or is it literally just when your body does its thing?

I think it’s more on baby and ur body. I’ve never thought of genetics coming into play. 
I was my moms first and was almost 2 weeks late. And my moms second (my sister) was 6 days early. 
My first (daughter) was born right on her due date. Currently 37w1d pregnant (boy) and having a membrane sweep on Thursday. (Membrane sweep worked with my dr and I’m highly favorable for it working again)

My mom had me at 34 weeks and my sister at 35 weeks. I’m almost 38 weeks (with no sign of baby) and my sister had her baby a few days shy of his due date. 
If I had to draw a conclusion from this, I’d say not much correlation

My 5 kids have all come at different times. I’ve also had different issues with each. I do know some things play into genetics like diabetes and pre&e but I’m not sure about this.

This is interesting to think about...I never have before. My mom was about 2 weeks early with me, and 3 months early with her twins. Both of my previous babies have been about 2 weeks early also! We'll see if this one is to but I'm pretty sure he will be.

My mom had me and my sister almost 2 weeks late, I delivered almost a week early! So I think it’s totally up to you and baby :)

My grandma had my uncle 3 weeks early and my mom a week late. My mom had me 3 weeks early and my brother a week late. 
My firstborn was right on his due date and I seriously thought I’d have him 3 weeks early. Now 37+1 with my second and I have no clue when she will show up. 🤷🏼‍♀️
