My period is late but why?

so I started my birth control pill pack on Tuesday the 14. I was supposed to get my period 2 days ago but haven’t gotten it. do you think the birth control affected it? I did have sex the week after my period and while I started the pack I just haven’t had time to log it. What do you think? i’ve had a few period symptoms but idk.
