Who has taken a vacation with grandparents?

I saw a similar question on here recently and It inspired me to post. We are considering taking a vacation with my LO’s grandparents (my parents). It would be them, myself, my husband, & my toddler. 
Who has taken a vacation with grandparents? What are some pros and cons? Would you ever do it again?

Literally do everything with my parents. Vacations, holidays, weekend trips, shopping. My mom and her sister are 15 months apart and it’s always been like I have two moms. We do everything with my parents and my aunts family. There are 11 of us and a 7 month old now-so it’s a bit crazy-but I wouldn’t change a thing!

Omg, if they're involved grandparents the trip will be great: babysitters for date(s)!  If they're not, you're the ones doing 2x the babysitting.

I have because it was something I needed. We went to a wedding a 3 hour plane ride away when baby was 8 weeks old. We brought my mom to babysit for wedding events. We all hung together the rest of the time. She’s a little (read: LOT) more stressed & stressful than I enjoy, but it worked out for us to have her there. For a regular trip that would otherwise be my little family, I’m not aching to take anyone else along. We like to do what works for us, and on our schedule.

Vacations with my parents are awesome! With my in-laws not so much. My in-laws are in their 70s, have health problems, and overall just are more work than anything. This year we’ve decided to go to Disney and only plan on bringing my parents. They are in their 50s, much more active, and are willing to babysit while we ride or later on in the night when the babies are asleep. I think it really depends on if your family is helpful or if they are going to cause more stress for you.

I go to Disney with my parents, 4 sisters, husband, and kids every couple years. It’s exhausting but we enjoy it. I like that my mom does all the planning, we want to take our own vacation later this year but I’m scared to figure it out on my own lol

We do our annual beach vacation with my parents. It’s nice for us because we have a little time to ourselves with built in “babysitters.” So everyone has a good time!

We always vacation with my parents and sister, even before we had kids! We skipped this summer because we bought our house and our youngest is not for long rides. However, my children absolutely LOVE their grandparents and my mom (I'm sure my dad too but my mom has vocalized it) loves being with my children. My cousins (& their families) always vacation with their parents too. Sure for that week there's less structure and less privacy but the memories are amazing.

I grew up vacationing with my grandparents (and usually parents, but my dad's parents would take me camping sometimes) so to me it's nothing weird. In June we'll be going to the beach with my parents. We went last year as well. It was basically the same as every year (my family had been going there for over 60 years as my mom turns 60 this year and my grandparents went before she was born).
My husband and I talked the other day about having my parents come with us to Disney when the kids are older so we have more hands. My husband's parents don't really go on vacation, but I went with them on a trip for my husband's uncle's funeral.

I haven’t taken one yet, but we just booked a vacation with my family, my sisters family and my parents. There’s 12 of us altogether 😬.
