For example, when I say “say cheese!” and go to take a picture of him, he will stop, look at me and smile or “talk”/yell

This is cute . But yup my son understands what we say and he will do them , like reverse when his in his walker and is headed to the pantry to demolish it I call out his name he will stop and look at me and I call out reverse so he starts walking backwards back out of the kitchen area haha

We get huge smiles when we count to 3 because on 3 something usually happens! Super helpful for photos haha
