My son is a little over a week old. He refuses to sleep in his bassinet or his crib and it’s leaving me having to stand up and rock him all night every night! No matter how many times I try to put him down in his bassinet, even after falling asleep after rocking him, he’s just not having it! Last night I was desperate for sleep and made the decision to have him in bed with me, so I put him on my chest and my nursing pillow over his legs/around my side and held him on me. The thought of bed sharing this early scares me, but it was the first night he actually slept through the night (other than waking to feed of course..) Has anyone else done bedsharing with a newborn? If so, what safety precautions did you take? How did you have them sleep with you? Or does anybody have any advice on what I can do to get him to sleep in his bassinet? I’m so exhausted 😩😩
