What should I do?

My son has always liked sleeping alone. He has never fought sleeping in his crib. Ever.

He would actually go to bed on his own all the time.

He’s 1 1/2

A few days ago I replaced his crib with a big boy bed.

I replaced it sooner then I wanted to because we had to break his crib because he got his leg stuck. It was impossible to get out.

Now, all he does is refuse to sleep in his toddler bed. He will cry and cry and won’t stay in it.

I know he misses his crib. Should I put him back?

He stays up past 2am because he refuses to sleep in it until he’s so tired he falls asleep on the floor and I have to lay him in it. I’m 5 months pregnant and getting really sleepy staying up past 2am because he refuses...

Stick with his new bed, don’t go backwards. It’s a big change for a little person, stick with it & you’ll both get there ❤️

I just wasn’t sure if it was too early.. I’ll keep working at it. Thank you

It can take time. Just keep consistently putting him to bed there. He will get it.

Ugh im sorry momma. I know this is hard. I would still keep at it, especially with a baby on the way.

Have you tried adding a toddler bed rail? That might give him the feel of his crib.

My son is 14, almost 15m, and I'm working on a transition to a twin bed. Right now we're just using it for naps. We got this rail so it's basically like a giant crib and he can't get out

I bought a rail thinking that would make him feel more secure.. but didn’t work. He won’t sleep in my bed either so the only option I have is to get a crib and have him sleep during naps in his toddler bed & sleep in crib at night. But I’m going to try a few more days...

I think adding a rail on both sides or on one side depending if you have the bed against the wall or not. That might make him feel more safe and it will look more similar to the crib rather than the open bed. If you don't already have one then I also suggest getting a cool night light.
