She’s on her way!

My water broke on 1/31/2020 at 40+3 after a membrane sweep at 40+2.

My little Lillian wanted to wait until February to make her appearance! I was definitely a wimp and got the epidural at 3cm (I have bad SPD, so it was making the contractions worse). I tried Stadol first and that took the edge off for an hour or so in the middle of the night. Even with the epidural, I’m still contracting every 2-3 minutes and it’s taking a couple of hours for me to dilate each cm.

Send good thoughts and prayers my way! I still have a ways to go.

ETA: my last check was at 8:30 AM. I jumped up from 4cm to 6cm in 2 hours. 90% effaced and she’s at -1 station.

It’s slow and steady, but it’s been a very uncomplicated labor so far. I’ve been in active labor for about 12 hours.
