How long after your missed period does one do a pregnancy test?

I’m 3 days late and still haven’t taken one just because I’m nervous 😬 could take one as soon as you miss it though!

I took one the day before my missed period thinking it would be negative but got a positive. Usually I wait three or four days since my period is a little irregular since my iud came out

I waited until the next month since I knew my periods were a lil irregular
