C Section Mommas! To shave, wax, trim, or what???

Hey ladies, TMI question but reading and asking other c section moms about what to do in terms of pubic hair has left me with more questions than answers. What do you recommend? And how far in advance of your scheduled c section?

Just had my c-section this morning I was told not to shave and that it was best if they trimmed me during my surgical prep.

They will shave how they need to for the surgery!! Which they need to do themselves regardless of what you do with the rest of your hair...because they will need it surgery safe.
However, even with a csection you will still bleed vaginally for a week or more....so I'd recommend keeping the rest of your bush fairly short. It's just easier to keep clean during that time period. If you dont mind having heavy period like symptoms with whatever you normally do for periods...just do what makes you comfortable!

We have to shave before a c-section? Why? My OB hasn’t mentioned that to me

I plan on trimming/shaving before my scheduled c-section. At the hospital I’m delivering at they have to shave you if your aren’t shaved. They shave your lower stomach and upper public area.

I am scheduled for my 3rd c section feb 11th. With my 1st 2 c sections I didn't have a chance to think about shaving or waxing. 
With this 1 I dont plan to trim, shave or wax I know they will shave the area before they take me into the OR.

I shaved the morning of mine. I didn’t want them to do it and I knew it would be awhile before I could do it again.

The nurses will trim the hair right before the c section. I wouldn’t worry about it!

Not anticipating a C-section but my OB nurse said no hair removal after 36 weeks of abdominal or bikini zone. And my induction paperwork also statea absolutely no hair removal in those zones within 7 days of the induction date. They both said it increases infection risk. No one mentioned hair removal with my first.

Don’t shave yourself for a c section. It creates little wounds and you could get an infection.

When you’re about to go to any surgery doctors shave you close to where they are gonna work. Removing hair reduces the risk of getting an infection. I’d shave by myself very well... bc they would do it just to work there but it’s not gonna look ok
