If you’re breastfeeding does your baby hold their own bottle/ sippy cup of water/ juice?

My girl is mainly breastfed and I occasionally give her formula and when she eats I give her water but she will not hold her own sippy cup or bottle.. I try to show her but she just lets go as soon as I get her to do it.. I’ve tried w/ handles, w/ no handles she just doesn’t want to hold it. Any tips to help her?

My daughter is, but when my son was her age, he refused to hold his bottle and cups by himself. I remember being so frustrated. He never really bothered with the bottle, he always wanted someone to do it for him, even up until we stopped the bottle.

My son hadn’t caught on either, but I’m not worried about it! They’ll get it ☺️

Yes. She learned pretty quick when I would hold her hands around it and let go.
