Cat scan on my 5 month old to determine if he really needs a DOC band/helmet (Medicaid)
Hello my glow ladies, I'm wondering if any moms have gone through this.. to make story short I have Medicaid in order for Medicaid to cover my babys pediatrician had to refer us to 'Cranial Technology' that's for DOC band/helmet well Cranial Technology in order for Medicaid to cover had to send me to a dr at a children's hospital this dr wants to di a cat scan just to make sure she's not missing something she said most likely there could be nothing wrong but it would be irresponsible of me (the dr) to not make sure, she assured me that the cat scan was not like the ones that they use on adults she assured me that the cat scan is a small procedure that the cat scan will only have small radiation as if you were having a cat scan on your ankle and it's only 2 to 3 minutes.. I mean I'm no dr im just a mom that saw that her baby needs a Doc band & it's obvious by the photos that cranial technology took, my baby has plagiocephaly and tightening of the neck muscles aka torticollis which my baby is having physical therapy for very soon I also do excercises at home with baby.. but I'm worried, I guess I just have to trust the process. Have any moms on Medicaid had to go through this with baby?...
