Yesterday I got a positive test. I was so shocked I decided not to tell my partner yet until I could test again. So today after he left to go do a side job I took three more tests: one invalid and two positive. I decided I’d do a cheap thrown together announcement today because I can’t keep secrets and I don’t want to just say I’m pregnant. So I ran to the outlet mall picked out a cheap onesie and grabbed a digital test on the way home. I got home and was about a minute into the test waiting period when the front door opened. He usually texts me when he’s coming home for lunch. The test just then read “pregnant” so I shoved it in my makeup bag, sprinted out to the bedroom to shove the box under the bed and throw my jacket on top of the shopping bag just as he walks into the bedroom. I’ve never panicked so much. Surprisingly my flustered self didn’t seem odd to him. Usually he gets suspicious of me acting like a lunatic 😂 Had I not planned an announcement it would’ve been fine but he was not stealing my moment 😂 I honestly can’t wait to tell him the story after more than give him the gift

It’s a simple announcement but it’s very us. I’m pretty sure he’ll be very shocked. I’m giving him two boring valentines gifts first then this gift box as the finale when he gets home

I know it’s not pretty or exciting but since I don’t have much time and his brother is using the office where our markers and stuff are this is the best I could do secretly. Also I put arriving in 2020 because I’m not sure when my due date is yet 🤷‍♀️ so don’t judge that haha

Anybody else do a cute announcement or get caught with your test? I know some ladies tell their partner they’re testing. I didn’t think I’d be pregnant this period so I didn’t even mention that I felt odd.
