What were some essentials you took on the plane with you?

My mother in law is going on a girl business trip the day after mothers day to las Vegas. So i decided i want to get her a suit case and put stuff she would need. So far I’m thinking about putting a cute passport holder, power block, a neck pillow, and a blanket anything else? Im letting her know that I’m getting her the suitcase so she doesn’t go out and buy one, ima give it to her on mothers day

Lysol wipes!!!! They have travel packs. Planes are nasty. Hand sanitizer and hand lotion, earphones so she can listen to music on her phone, chapstick, gum.

From all of my plane traveling, I can say that a neck pillow and blanket are generally useless and more of a hassle to carry around than there worth. The only time I used either was when I was in a middle seat for an entire 13 hour flight and couldn't lean either way to sleep, so I used a neck pillow. As far as a blanket goes, if I get hold I just put on a hoodie or drap it across me. Never needed an eye mask either as the plane is actually quite dark, especially on long haul flights where they actually keep the lights off most of the flight 
What I would recommend is 
A small shoulder bag
Block charger like you mentioned 
Headphones, preferebly noise cancelling 
Chapstick
Hand sanitizer wipes (I definitely don't like having to get through security, and try to remember to pull my liquid hand sanitizer out of my carry on liquids bag before I get on the plane, and hand Sanitizer wipes double for the same purpose as Lysol wipes) 
Snacks
Reusable water bottle (you can fill them once you're past security at water fountains) 
Unique luggage tags 
Maybe some cute sweats 
Remember that hauling around a bunch of stuff through the airport, and security, and remembering to dig around in your suitcase for random items, ect isn't fun, and when you're sitting in your seat you don't have much room to move around. So only get the necessities that can fit into a little purse/backpack that shell be stuffing under her seat and not in the baggage above her head

The only things I bring in my backpack (which is my personal item that goes under the seat) are wallet, phone, charger block and cord, headphones, empty water bottle, chapstick, gum, and long sleeved shirt. I buy a few magazines once I’m through security and fill my bottle at a fountain. The lighter the better.
