These are not 'sensitive' formulas. They're hypoallergenic formulas reserved for babys with allergies.

They are both meant for milk protein allergies and not just a generic sensitive formula. The proteins are way more broken down. My LO took well to both of them but the pediatrician told me that alimentum tastes worse than nutramigen so he recommended we start with nutramigen first. It took my LO about a week to make the switch because they taste so much different than the regular formulas that he would only take 1-2oz at a time. Once we was used to it then it was no problem. We ended up switching to alimentum a couple months later because it was slightly cheaper.

I don't think you can compare the two. I'm not sure about Similac, but Nutramigen is specifically for babies who have a cow's milk allergy. Not that other babies can't use it, but for the price, I wouldn't use it unless your baby has a cow's milk allergy. That's just me though. My daughter had it, and believe me, I was thrilled when she grew out of it so we didn't have to keep spending money on Nutramigen.

Depends on the baby what baby can tolerate. There is no blanket "better." 
Also, those arent sensistive formulas.
