An Open Letter to my MILSO (MILitary Significant Other)
My Dear MILSO,
It bothers me how I’m the first one to reach out to you with very little to no response. Here I am making a conscious effort into communicating with you and it would take days for you to respond. The last time I sent you a text was Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon saying how much I miss you and how bad I want to be in your arms, holding you tight.
I called you this afternoon but the phone rang 4 times then went to voicemail. This is frustrating to me. I understand that being in the military, you’re on call 24/7/365. There’s no such thing as a 9 to 5 and weekends off are pretty much impossible while in service, but damn, at least pick up the phone.
Let me know you’re alive, let me know things are well. I’ve never been with a man with a demanding job schedule and this is pretty hard on me. Don’t let me be the first one to always reach out to you.
You already know that my phone is always on. Call me, text me, send me a picture, something. I really like you. I’m very attracted to you but don’t leave me hanging like this.
We’ve been together for 8 months and it still feels like I don’t know you very well. I would do anything to have a sit-down, have a drink and deep, serious conversation with you, hold hands, cuddle and feel your lips pressed upon my cheeks and lips.
Please try to communicate with me whenever you can.
Yours Truly❤️
