Agree or disagree?

Question

I understand trying to prevent the spread of the virus, but it seems tragic in some way to the families of loved ones since some people have a very specific view on how they want their funeral to be, some people don’t agree with cremation, etc., as well as preventing family members from truly having a chance to say their goodbyes. Thoughts?

What do you think happened during the plagues (yes I know it’s not exactly the same just using for an example) , unfortunately when it’s a virus such as this it’s a necessary evil and you need to try and contain it as much as possible

The health of everyone outways your personal wishes and desires.
Besides when people are dying from a novel virus around you, you should have bigger things to worry about then what happens to people that are already dead.

If it helps stop the spread so others don’t die, I agree with it. It’s very sad, but I would rather help ensure public safety than have a funeral exactly how I want it.

If this were a horrible disease that was already killing thousands then yes, as much as I disagree with it. Like if it were Ebola or something.
For this kind of sickness, at the death rate it currently is considering the amount of people affected, then no. More people die from flu (and even pneumonia at the moment) but you don't see people rushing to cremate them quick quick.

In the medical field, sometimes you have to do things you don’t personally agree with. Disease control and containment is top priority, if that means you destroy multiple bodies, then you destroy them. Regardless of your personal feelings and the wants of the family. 
The wants of a few do not override the needs of the many. 
I just went through international disease containment protocol on a military base. You know what we were told? Destroy the bodies of the dead once blood samples were taken. Then destroy all fabrics and soft materials they came in contact with.

The flu last year killed more people in 1 month than the Corona virus killed in 2, and it's mainly effecting the elderly. I think its crazy for everyone to freak out this way. Seems like the government is trying to distract us by scaring us with disease. In reality there are hundreds of deaths from the flu a year.

It’s tragic. However containing that virus as keeping the rest of the human population are more important.

It may seem insensitive, but I do think stopping the spread of the disease is more important. That’s happened many times in history — burn the body and stop the spread of disease. Unfortunately, the body could still spread the disease even though the person has passed. It’s unfortunate, but I think it’s necessary. I’m sad for those families though, since things seem to kick them when they’re down.

You can still have a funeral for someone who is cremated though? My best friends mom passed away from cancer and her wishes were to be cremated and she was and that was her funeral.
