My water broke while I was sleeping at exactly 38 weeks. I thought I peed, ran into the restroom and when I got up from the  toilet I noticed fluid dripping between my thighs. Wasn’t convinced that it was my fluids because it was not a lot of fluid that came out. Started having contractions 10 mins after. When my husband and I got into the hospital, I was already 4 cm dilated and got admitted right away. They did not give me any pitocin because my contractions were strong enough and very consistent at 2-3 mins apart. 3 hours after being admitted, I was 6 cm dilated.Had to get my epidural at that point because my contractions became so unbearable. 2 hours after, I was 10 cm dilated and was ready to push. Dr. Came few mins after, pushed for about an hour. Baby boy weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. It was a smooth and unforgettable labor and delivery experience.
