Does medication help post partum?

I was on anxiety medication before I got pregnant and it helped me 100%. I went off it when I got pregnant. I’m so worried I’ll have anxiety/ depression after I have the baby. I fully plan to go back on medication after I have the baby. Did medication help you post partum?

My midwife recommended I stay on my anxiety medication throughout pregnancy because I’ll need it most postpartum. I take 10mg escitalopram (generic Lexapro) once daily.

Yessssssss I started Zoloft for PPA and I feel like a million bucks. My anxiety got intense!
