I’m driving myself crazy with anxiety over the health of my baby. My first ultrasound is scheduled for Feb 17 at 9 weeks. I will be 40 in March, my estimated due date is Sep 20.

I know genetic testing isn’t done till after 11-12 weeks. Can anyone tell me what to expect with genetic testing, how long will it take to get results? I grew up with an aunt who has Down’s syndrome. My grandmother had her at 35. My aunt is very smart and is now 56 years old but since my grandmother passed away she has lived 4 months at a time with each of her older siblings. I worry because my child will be an only child. I know I’m worrying too much about something that is out of my control. Anyways just looking for some advice and words of wisdom to help my anxiety.
