My surprise baby is a Girl!!
So my birth story is long but I'll shorten it up. So I went in on the 22nd for a induction that was scheduled for 39 weeks because I had been super sick the entire pregnancy and I was over it. At 39 weeks they're okay with induction because it's full term. Anyway I got there at 7:30am. Got to my room, got my gown on and 30 mins later we started Pitocin. At first I couldn't even feel my contractions but I'd say about 5 hours in I not only felt them but they were getting stronger by the minute. By 11 hours in they were horrible and I asked for the epidural. The nurse made me wait until I had a whole bag of fluids before she called for the epidural and it was hell getting through that so we were about 12-13 hours in and finally he came to do the epidural. Okay so that took what seemed like forever because he couldn't find the right spot and here I am trying to keep still while feeling these contractions. So he finally got it in but it only made my legs feel tingly and I could still move them. But it helped with the contractions UNTIL they broke my water and all bets were off after that. I felt my contractions again and this time they were worse. So I basically got the epidural for nothing because it sure didn't work. I think maybe an hour after they broke my water I went from 4cm to 8 in minutes. Another 10 mins pass and I'm at 10 and her head is almost out. I've never seen a doctor move that fast putting gear on lol. 3 pushes and she was out!
