How often does your baby nurse during the day?

The past few days it’s been nearly impossible to get him to nurse during the daytime. He’ll only nurse before bed, around midnight, and then at like 5 or 6 am. During the day he seems to want solids only and gets mad if I offer.

My baby is a big comfort nurser so he wants to nurse at the beginning of the day, before and after his first nap, before and after his second nap, occasionally once in the evening and then before bed. So typically 6-7 times a day still

For nap times, when he’s fussy. Then for bedtime, he will try to pull my shirt up when he wants to nurse

Less and less. It’s still what he wants when he wakes up in the morning and before he goes to bed at night. I‘m pretty sure that’s s comfort thing more than anything. During the day he couldn’t care less. I get him to nurse maybe twice but sometimes even then he is finished after 1-2 minutes. I’m OK with that, though, since he will be a year old next week. He is self weaning. My older daughter did the same and I just followed her lead. I never had any problems with weaning that way, never had to keep the boob from her, never had problems getting my supply back down or anything. It just naturally faded out because she decided she no longer wanted it, and she dropped one feed after another until one day it was over.

My daughter self weaned at 6 months so I’ve been pumping and giving bottles. This week she refuses bottles and breast milk all together. Tried all kinds of cups and pushes it away. Her dr says she might just be over it since she’s eating fine and drinking plenty of water. It’s very frustrating and upsetting 🙁
