Read the situation and let me know what category your baby falls in (or is closest to)

I have 2 friends that also have April babies and we all had dinner (pizza) together this weekend. We all put our babies in high chairs for dinner and I was surprised how different we fed them. I'm curious how the other April babies compare to this.

Here is two different versions of how dinner went:

Category 1- ripped a [square] peice of pizza in half and the baby fed himself (ate both peices)

Category 2- parent felt like pizza was too advanced and only gave the baby puffs and a lick of the sauce

Which category does your baby land closest to??

My son would definitely want the pizza. But I was try to remove most of the grease then tear it into small pieces so he could feed himself. If we are eating something, he wants it. So it forces us to eat better too.

He LOVES feeding himself, although it’s debatable how much actually gets in 🤷🏼‍♀️

Neither. Mine doesn’t like any food but I wouldn’t be giving him junk already if he did.

I agree that I don’t feed my child these types of foods either but she was referring to the style of feeding, not the food itself.

I would have given my guy stuff off the pizza in bites he would choke on because he throws up when he chokes. I could basically scrape the bottom of the crust off, leaving the dough and everything else, cut it into little pieces and he would eat that.

My little one gets some of what we eat and some of baby food like the puffs. If it’s something like pasta that I’m eating that I feed him while I eat so I just spoon or fork feed him. If it’s something like rice or veggies then I give him a little at a time because he’s notorious for stuffing too much in his mouth.

My baby loves pizza (and pretty much all foods) but I just cut everything into tiny pieces for her and she feeds it to herself.

we do bite sized foods. I've read too many stories of babies choking on whole foods they fed themselves so I'm scared. 🙈

I eat the toppings off and give him small bite size pieces for him to feed himself.
