How long should I wait to Introduce my 1 and a half year old to a guy I’m seeing?

My husband and I waited 6 months to introduce our kids but they were older. Just dont introduce unless hes ready because little ones get attached.

A year or longer I'm a single mom and I don't even date but I would be very careful of bringing men in and out of your child's life. If be 100% sure it's going to be a long term thing before involving your kid.

I’d say a minimum of 6 months but it depends a lot on your relationship- some people are still very casual after a year together so even after 12 months might not be the right time. I’d say give it long enough that you-
1. Really know the person well
2. Know that you are in a stable relationship that will be long term
3. You’re comfortable enough to have conversations about their ‘role’ in your child’s life (ie you know they won’t jump in and start parenting when they are basically a stranger to your child at that point)
4. The person is a good influence to be around your child- treats you with respect, behaves appropriately, etc.

6 months minimum and I’d run a background check on the person. Lot of crazy people out there. I recently looked up a family member on our state website who I questioned. The guys a total saint... turns out he’s an alcoholic and had a DUI. It’s public record so was easy to find. So he and his wife who is already grumpy a lot will not be watching our baby.

I agree, 6 month minimum. Make sure he is in it for the long haul. It would be hard to explain, even at such a young age why your child only sees men a few times then never again.
