To test or not to test ?

Hi ladies , so I’m a little conflicted . In December I had a period on the 6th & then my next period started 5 days early. (Started December 31, instead of January 4) & I was expected to get my period on January 28, & I have yet to get it . Should I test now for pregnancy or just wait it out ? I’m scared to test & be disappointed.
