Video games are more important
Here's a little context:
We've had a very hectic weekend including but not limited to finding and getting rid of a rat in our home, having to sanitize afterward, and having a husband who is in college online procrastinate a very important test...due to video games.
I got very upset because now that we've taken care of our rat buddy, I'm noticing that something, somewhere, smells like trash. It could be in our walls/vents/etc. This rat also took the liberty of eating my fancy face wash, and pooping all over the area where I keep my bath supplies (so I've been bummed to say the least). I have an immunocompromised little girl who is 6, who has recently survived kidney cancer, so we had to be extra EXTRA careful not to expose her to said rat and droppings.
Cue my significant other...who has not even an ounce of concern for this problem. Gleefully playing video games on PS4 until all hours of the night, and complaining about how tired he is during the day. My husband is not my child's father, and we have no children together, but got married and we have been ttc for one year. I am not infertile, but he has very low sperm, thus we are having extreme difficulty. One failed iui was fairly recent.
Honestly, I dont have an issue with video games and I understand it's something he enjoys, but the issue I'm finding is: it's alarming that it's taking priority over real life and real life problems. I'm even starting to begin thinking it may not be wise to actually have a baby because of this issue. I had briefly mentioned this, with tears in my eyes, and he just nodded and kept playing his game.
My heart is really breaking. Not sure how to even go about this anymore. What should I even begin to do? I really just want us to be happy again!
