A little background

My mother died when I was 9 years old. I had 2 older sister (4 & 8 yrs older) who I never been close to. We have same parents its just that I’ve always been a loner.

Everything from doing my hair, my period and sex I’ve learned on my own. I didn’t even tell my sisters or dad that I started my period.

I vowed that I would be open and honest with my kids and they can come to me about any and everything.

I wished I had a mother or better yet if my step mother wasn’t so evil I could have talked to her.

Fast forward

Im a mother of 3 beautiful girls and my oldest one who will be 13 in 3 months just got her 1st cycle. I gifted her a box of goodies for becoming a women. One item that was in the box was razors.

So, she asked me to help her shave. I shaved one of her armpits and she did the other just as I did. Next, she wanted to cut down and shave her pubic hair So I assisted on helping her.

Does that make me a mother that is doing to much for her daughter? Is that not giving my daughter her dignity? Im i that mother that women call weird because her daughter tells her everything and helps her shave her cookie box?

I do not call it her cookie box.

When I told my sisters I helped my daughter shaved shes the one that said it so i was just going off of what she said.

My daughter loves her period box and as you see theres a a pink envelope with a card inside with a personal letter that I wrote. Here dad put a little note in the the card too.

After reading your comments I’m happy to call myself “a weird mother” for those of you that deemed it weird.

I wasn’t sure if i wqs going overboard because I didn’t have an example. All I knew is, my daughter will have a mother she can come to about any and everything. And she does ❤️❤️.

After talking to my husband and reading the other comments im happy to call myself an AWESOME MOTHER!!!
