Did you wear a non traditional (non white) wedding dress?

My dress was pale blue, basically ever since I was little I knew I wanted a blue dress w/ no veil, my 1st inspiration was a pale blue dress that “Buttercup” wears in “The Princess Bride”, by the time I got married in 2014 it was “Elsa” from “Frozen” :) 
I had a couple of people go “Blue?! Your dress is going to be blue?” But once they saw me on my wedding day they thought it looked great & I still looked very bridal. I had a friend make my dress & I added a white lace three quarter length sleeve shrug from Etsy to it. I wore 3 crystal flower/star shaped pins in my hair.

Mine's navy blue. I'll be 6 months when I get married in march and everything I tried just made me look fat- even maternity dresses. I got an evening maxi dress that hugs my bump nicely. I'll have to sell my original traditional wedding dress because it no longer fits. ( Had two miscarriages which meant that originally, I should have had the babies way before march).

I wore a traditional one, but it's because it's the one that made me cry when I saw it on me after trying a few dozen. You do you, just because it's tradition, it should have your flare after all, it's your wedding day, not everyone else's! If you want to wear black, hot pink, etc. Do you!!

I’ve never been married but my sister wore a burgundy wedding dress to hers 2 months ago. In some cultures I understand red is traditional for the bride but that was not the case for us. She did hear some negative comments from the older folk that are more traditional but for the most part no one cared. It was her wedding to wear what she wanted, and she’s happy she did it that way
