Is it normal for you to see and physically feel swelling in your vagina after childbirth? I’ve been worried about prolapse.
Hi, I just had a baby a week ago. I went to use the bathroom and noticed I see something swollen on the inside of my vagina, and my vagina looks very ‘open’ There’s nothing I can physically see on the outside of my vagina, but when I stick a finger in there to check myself. I feel like something is there and it’s very swollen and hard. Is it possible that this could be a bladder or uterine prolapse? This was childbirth number three and I’ve had perineal tearing with all three. I also have internal stitches from a level two tear. I also had a Salpingectomy the day after childbirth which is tube removal. Is it normal that there would be inflammation visibly noticeable inside my vagina? Or should I call the doctor? I’m not in any type of pain, I just feel a little bit of pressure when I need to pee.
