When should I pack my hospital bag??

I’m 31weeks. How long should I wait to pack my bag and what should I pack for me and baby?

My relatives told me to pack a salami in there because you might be hungry after delivering 😂 
In all seriousness, extra long phone charger, travel size toiletries, nursing pads, change of clothes, comfy pajamas/nightgown.

With my 1st (also due in April with #2) I started ard 36 weeks and finalized the bag at 38. I packed a huge bottle of water with straw (if you get thirsty while labouring and are stuck in a good position that wont let you drink comfortably a straw is a lifesaver), hair elastic, chapstick (my lips were so dry I was happy to have it), light snacks like granola bars, fruits, bite size cheese and salami (didnt need them during labour but damn that salty salami was the best I ever had), pillow, robe, toiletries, pads (I actually went and bought those depend granny panties, so comfy, since I hate pads, they never seem to stay in place)! Wide sweats or loose fitting top (something that was easy to just pull down to breastfeed) and bottoms, nursing bra, charger, phone 
For baby I packed two outfits in case she wouldn't fit in the newborn size and that's it. For my partner we packed toiletries, snacks (the hospital only provided enough food for one unfortunately- bc, canada), earplugs (but he decided to not use them since he felt it was unfair to get sleep after I worked so hard) 😍😊 a pillow and spare undies.

Im just 30 weeks and this is my 3rd. I plan on packing mine this weekend. I pack a bag for delivery and another for recovery. Delivery just things to keep me busy, something to pull my hair back and hard candy. Recovery i pack 3 outfits for myself. Generally pjs or leggings dark in color, hair ties, toiletries, nursing bras and breast pads etc. I pack a diaper bag but just clothing. Hospital supplies diapers and wipes.

I'm almost 31 weeks and mines already packed. Robes, nursing bras, toiletries, phone charger,  slippers,  chapstick and I'll be packing snacks when I get a little closer

Theres no real harm in doing it "too early" especially if something were to happen and you needed it sooner than expected! I have a basic bag packed ready for emergencies, but as time goes on I will add the more non essential items in

I’m waiting until after our shower I would love to pack it sooner but I just won’t have some of the essentials until then. I’ll be around 33 weeks.

Don’t forget some warm fuzzy socks! Your feet get so cold😕 for some reason and those helped me so much!

You can pack it whenever. I don’t think there’s a wrong or right time. With my first I did it at about 30 weeks because I was so excited lol this time around I’ll probably wait until 40 weeks because that’s when I’m having my baby shower. I packed going home outfits for my baby, swaddles, hats, clothes for me, deodorant, tooth brush, phone charger, and a blanket for me.
